Ebenezer Church is celebrating it's bicentenery on 20/21 June 2009.

It is the oldest church in Australia & was the first non-conformist then Presbyterian Church.

Settlement in the area predated the church by 6 years, when families who arrived on the Coromandel in 1802,

established pioneer farms on the Hawesbury River at Portland Head in1803.

They worshipped out in the open untill the church was built.

The Turnbulls, who were one of the original settlers in the area, are holding their 206th year reunion at the church on Saturday 20/6/09.
